Career Development Programme on “Indian Economic Service (IES): Career Prospects, Opportunities and Pathways”

The Department of Economics, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi, hosted a Career Development Programme on “Indian Economic Service (IES): Career Prospects, Opportunities and Pathways” for students of MA Economics, BA Economics, and BA Economics & Data Analytics.

The session provided students with insights into the Indian Economic Service examination, eligibility requirements, career opportunities, and pathways in public policy, government institutions, economic research, administration, and related fields.

The interactive programme also focused on the skills, preparation, and analytical thinking required to pursue a career in the Indian Economic Service and public sector. Students gained a broader understanding of the diverse opportunities available to economics graduates and the evolving career landscape within the discipline.

The programme encouraged students to explore new possibilities, develop a focused career approach, and think beyond conventional career paths in Economics.
