Just A Minute (JAM)

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, in association with the Verbavibe and Creartivo Clubs, organised an engaging community gathering for students at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi, focusing on overcoming stage and camera anxiety and developing confident communication skills.

The programme featured interactive activities such as Just A Minute (JAM) and situation-based enactments, providing students with opportunities to think spontaneously, articulate their ideas, and communicate with greater confidence. The activities encouraged creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and active participation while helping students step beyond their comfort zones.

The gathering provided a dynamic learning environment that combined participation, creativity, and experiential learning. Through these activities, students were encouraged to recognise the importance of confidence, effective communication, and the ability to express themselves across different settings.

The programme served as a meaningful platform for students to strengthen their communication skills and develop the confidence to engage, express, and connect effectively.
